My Pantheon — Part I

My Pantheon is an illustrated experiment in introspection.

I decided to draw a self-portrait as a starting point of the series. The result was unexpected (image above): a trinity consisting of characters that play equal roles in the composition of my personality. Inspired by the trinity - a symbol often used in religious iconography, I began the development of my personal pantheon complete with its specific iconography, holy objects and bestiary. The Pantheon also includes a three-headed Saint Therapy – patron saint of healing and self-improvement.

In the end, what started out as a very personal experiment, developed into a highly universal story of acceptance and making peace with one‘s own emotions. Both pieces were exhibited as large prints (2,4 x 2 m) during the Vox Feminae Festival 2018 . Self portrait was exhibited during the Graffiti na gradele warmup exhibition.
